Good afternoon Alcott School Community,
Today I had the pleasure of touring our District Superintendent, Dr. Jackson, Assembly member Kevin McCarty, District Area Superintendent Elizondo, District Director of Early Learning Programs, Dr. Ceminsky, and other members of the Calif. Dept of Education and District staff here at Alcott. I was honored to showcase who we are, what we stand for, and our goals for this school community. Be sure to see the pictures on our social media sites and website later this evening.
Your students are probably coming home talking about "filling buckets or dipping from buckets". This is our schoolwide focus on the messages from the book, How Full is Your Bucket and is showing students the power of what we say and how we act and how our positive interactions matter. Be sure to ask your children about this concept. It works!
Monday is our next minimum day: our staff will be involved in some important professional development that is helping us as educators. Don't forget to pick up your child at 12:45.
October 4 is Picture Day. Flyers went home with your child today. Let's be ready to smile...mask free.
