Good afternoon Alcott School Community,
Another great week at School. Kids are learning and engaging with peers and staff. It's been a pleasure to observe our community back together.
Messages from Mr. Lewis
- Our Alcott Equity Team is preparing our article reviews/discussions around how we can be a more inclusive community. Our goal is to create the leaders and scholars that will be "that positive" impact on our future. I will continue to keep you updated on this initiative.
- Earlier in the week, I sent all staff members the “Theory of the Bucket and the Dipper”. This is one of my top priorities as your Principal and will assist us as we continue to develop that strong, positive team I envision here at Alcott. - Special KUDOS to our Leadership Team for working with me to set next year’s master schedule. We are not yet done with this process, but our goal is to have all major school events on a Master Calendar prior to July 1.
- The following dates and events are set:
- Back-to-School Night: September 9, 2021
- Spring Open House: April 28, 2022
- 5th Grade Promotion: June 13, 2022
- Social Media: As many of you know, I have an Instagram and Twitter page to highlight our Alcott “story” and showcase our amazing team. From time to time, I will take pictures of our staff and activities to post on my (principalslewis) Instagram page and/or Twitter (@MrLewisSD) which are linked from our school website.
